APRIL 12, 2006, St. Louis, Missouri USA …
Horst Dreier, CEO of Dreier Technology, a global
industrial products company based in Stuttgart,
Germany, and Dr. Manfred Ginter, a trade executive
from Baden-Württemberg, responded favorably
to site visits and fact-finding meetings with
St. Louis executives during a visit here last
week to evaluate office space and distribution
amenities for German businesses.
Dreier, whose firm provides precision measuring
tools for major manufacturers, and Ginter met
with officials from The Boeing Company and the
St. Louis County Economic Council in a three-day
fact-finding mission arranged by AAA Translation,
Inc. and World Trade Center Saint Louis.
Susanne Evens, president of AAA Translation,
Inc. and 2006 president of the St. Louis-Stuttgart
Sister City Organization, said, “Mr. Dreier
visited St. Louis to evaluate opportunities for
establishing a U.S.-based service center for Dreier
Technology, which serves companies in aerospace,
automotive and other industries.
“The German state of Baden-Württemberg
where Stuttgart is located is home for many industrial
companies such as Dreier Technology that conduct
business with U.S. firms, including other firms
considering potential expansion of distribution,
service or manufacturing operations in Missouri,”
Ms. Evens added.
Robert R. Heuermann, Jr., executive director
of World Trade Center St. Louis, said, “This
fact-finding mission was the latest in a series
of aggressive economic outreach initiatives to
help stimulate more investment and trade between
German and Missouri-based companies.
“We are encouraged by the positive feedback
that Mr. Dreier and Dr. Ginter expressed after
visiting with St. Louis executives and we expect
to continue discussions about potential German
business expansion into St. Louis at additional
meetings with Stuttgart executives later this
year,” Mr. Heuermann said.

office and business center with conference rooms

“St. Louis and Stuttgart have enjoyed productive
relationships for many years and this recent trip
strengthened those bonds,” said Evens, noting
that the St. Louis-Stuttgart Sister City Organization
