Susanne Evens, President of AAA
Translation was recently invited to speak at the
21st Women’s Yellow Pages Networking Breakfast.
Ms. Evens talk, “Going Global Online”
was attended by women business owners in the greater
St. Louis area.
The talk included tips and strategies to take
your Web site to a global audience. Ms. Evens
explained that only 20% of all Internet users
are in North America. By extending your site to
a global audience you can quickly gain a competitive
edge. In addition, with the dollar decreasing,
now is a good time to reach a global audience.
Many countries are realizing that trading with
the United States for goods and services can reduce
their cost.
“You don’t have to be a big company
to reach an international audience,” explained
Ms. Evens in her talk. She continued, “You
can take small steps and start by translating
part of your site.”
At the “Going Global Online” work
shop explained the difference between globalization
and localization of a Website. Ms. Even’s
company AAA Translation assists companies by translating
the content. Her site, www.aaatranslation.com
is an example of how just a few pages can be translated
and become effective.
